Defining College

As C3, when we say college we mean a lot of things.  College is more than a two or four-year degree.

Common Agenda

C3 members share a vision for change. This vision includes a common understanding of the issues facing Ottumwa and an agreed upon strategy.

Data Dashboard

To measure success, C3 has performance indicators that allow the community to know the impact of these actions.

What is Cradle-College-Career?

Cradle-College-Career (or C3) is a Local College Access Network or LCAN.

Michigan College Access Network defines a Local College Access Network as a “community-based college access alliance supported by a team of community and education leaders.  These coalitions are committed to building a college-going culture and dramatically increasing college readiness, participation, and completion rates within their community.  LCANs coordinate and expand programs, services, and resources that lower barriers preventing students from pursuing postsecondary education opportunities”.

The work of Cradle-College-Career is supported in large part by Iowa College Aid grant funds. Iowa College Aid provides funding, training, and technical assistance to develop LCANs around the state of Iowa. Additional cash and in-kind funding are provided by our partner organizations.
